Hi, my name is Cassi Kopsa. I'm a Criminal Justice major and I'll be showing you what it's like to live in Argo Hall. Let's go!
This is the first-floor lobby. There's lots of opportunities for students to gather and hang out and just build a community. There's couches, study spaces, TVs, and dining tables where students can just hang out and have fun.
This is where I live. Our rooms are more like apartments, they come with couches, and you can pretty much bring in whatever else you want. I brought in my Wii and we play that quite a bit. So that's pretty fun.
Our kitchen is pretty spacious. We have a nice little table for everyone to sit. And then if you come on in here, we have a nice stovetop and an oven and a fridge and microwave and -- all of -- kind of your basic necessities for cooking and such. So it's pretty awesome. Occasionally my roommates and I will cook meals together and it's a lot of fun to just hang out and make a good meal together. Most recently we made spaghetti which is really good.
I share this apartment with three other roommates. Our rooms are all down this hall and I really enjoy spending time with them and growing our friendship throughout the year. This apartment comes with a bathroom with two sinks out here and then a sink and a shower in there.
So this is my room. It comes with a desk, a chair, and a bed and you can arrange it however you'd like. And there's also a nice closet area where you can put all your clothes and more storage. You can really decorate it however you like. I like to hang up pictures and little plants.
On each floor of Argo, there's study bubbles which are open 24/7 and they're a great place to just get like a group study session going or work on your own or just hang out. Argo Hall houses sophomores through seniors, but we also have Emily Hall, Sikora Hall, and Sister Rita Hall. And that houses all the other students. There's also RAs available in each of those buildings for anything that you need.
Thanks for letting me take you on a tour of my res hall. If you come to campus, make sure that you add this to things to look at. Go Argos!
